Stories Behind the Craft
"Weaving Khadi is not just my livelihood—it's the legacy my grandmother passed to my mother, and now to me. Every thread I spin carries our family's dedication and love for this craft."
Lakshmi Devi
Master Weaver, Dharwad Khadi Center
35 years of experience
Lakshmi started learning the art of Khadi weaving at the age of 12 from her mother. Today, she leads a team of 15 artisans in her village, providing employment and preserving traditional weaving techniques for the next generation.
Through our platform, Lakshmi's creations reach customers across India and beyond, ensuring fair compensation and recognition for her exceptional craftsmanship. Her work supports not just her family, but an entire community of artisans.
